Forscan Step By Step?

I borrowed a for scan unit from a neighbor and saw a tutorial on Google Docs. I know there was a step by step guide on this page at one time, and I can't find it now. I don't want to screw my truck up, but there are a few things I want to use Forscan for....namely, adjusting for larger tires, so the speedometer, mpg calculator and actual odometer are accurate. I'd also like to adjust so the foglights stay on with the high beams. I've looked and the search just isn't coming up for me. Can someone please point me to a link to a step by step guide so I don't screw anything up using Forscan?

Thank you for the links. That helped. I got everything loaded, and got all "As Built" modules saved and backed up, in case something gets screwed up. I did change the headlight option where the Fog Lights stay on with the high beam headlights. That makes a ton of difference on dark back roads. Also changed the instrument panel where actual temps are displayed over the gauges. Now, I know exactly what my transmission temp is when towing, without having to toggle through the menus with a 32' trailer or 24' boat behind me. I've never been too hot, but like to keep my eye on transmission temp when towing in the mountains, just in case.

One thing I can't find is if there is a way to change the tire size from stock to a 35x11.5x20, calibrating the speedometer, mpg gauge and odometer, so they all remain accurate. I did find a listing in the spreadsheet, but at last update, it said it throws a code and the Check Engine Light stays on after changing the tire size. I am too OCD to have a check engine light on all the time. Is there an updated resolution to this?

Line 15 of the spreadsheet shows a calibration for a 285/75R18 which is (34.8 in.) without setting a CEL.

In BdyCM As Built 726-12-01 change to xxxx xx4C xxxx

Tire size correction I have found to be complicated and is somewhat dependent on what tire size and gear ratio the trucks come with.

There are numerous other references within the various Forescan discussions on the site for managing tire size changes if the above does not do the trick for you so post again if needed.

I just checked your profile and see you have a 2016.
The Forescan spreadsheet is for the 2017 and up models.

Very good. Be sure to post the results of your efforts as many on here are in search of an answer to this complicated issue for various tire size changes.

I have thus far corrected for my 37 in tires to within a little over 1 mph off at 75 mph. I started at 7 mph off.

Some on here have gone as far as to change the trucks perceived axle ratio combined with BdyCM 726-12-01 changes to make a correction.

Suffering from severe OCD myself I will continue to pursue corrections for my 37's and will post if successful.
