March 2019 all topic thread

Hello all,

Welcome to March. Been sick twice this week with the stomach flu, but looks like I am sick again today. Can't believe this. Usually lasts less than 14 hours, but pretty much ruins the whole day for me, as I feel terrible, and have to make multiple trips to the bathroom for one reason or another.

I got my flu shot way back in October or November. I read in the paper that the flu shot is pretty effective this year.

I got my flu shot back then, but it doesn't help for some reason. Of course, it could be food poisoning too. In any case, I am feeling better now, and hope to stay this way for awhile.

Yah. My bad. Those kind of things are tough to deal with sometimes. Hope you're up to 100% real soon now.

Our church distributes food once a month. IIRC every third Tuesday. Local stores donate to several churches in the area, and then the churches have a food bank day. Ours happens to be every third Thursday.

Same here, this is a "Scouts Out" event that we moved from the holidays to the spring because of need and competition. The local food bank is a co-op of the 6 main churches in our community.

Rain, rain, rain. Going to need a motorboat soon. Not really, but it sounded good.

No word on Mr Stewart yet, but have heard a rumor he will be gone awhile. Feeling much better now. I hate the stomach flu, or food poisoning, whatever it was. The VA has started sending an RN out to apply Unna Wraps to my legs. I feel like a mummy. LOL She will change them every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I'm surprised that in the best job market in 50 years people need to be given food. What happened to just getting a job and having some pride?
