I don't like surprises so I plan things out well in advance. Plus I have been doing it for so long it's like second nature to me.
My daughter and her future husband were talking about a cruise. I told her the cost of the cruise is just the start. You have to figure in the motel room, gas, food, parking at the port, wifi on the ship, drink package if you buy one, and anything off the ship is extra. She never realized all the extra money involved and all the planning I did before our trips till then. She would just pack her clothes and hop in the car. I ordered a 12 volt air compressor just to take with us and be on the safe side. The hummer has a built in one so I never worried about it
My boss walked in my office and closed the door and said I got an email on Saturday that I was not expecting and it bothers me. My mind started spinning as I was trying to think of anything that I might have done to get in trouble or get him in trouble. After a long pause he said Corporate wants to start going 730 to 6 during the week and 730 to 4 on Saturdays starting on the 11th. He said since I don't have a helper we would work it out for me. He is giving me half a day off on that Thursday we head down to Orlando, I can leave at lunch time and probibly make it most of the way before we stop for the night. Score!!
i am the same way about planning , It may be the military breeding. They could do a weekend cruise out Port Carnverial fairly cheap. I read some on one of the cruise forums that if you sail out of Puerto Rico it about half the cost, but time you figure airfare to PR and back not sure.
Talked to the man at the county some body that there nose is so long they have to put in everyone elses business complained. The code enforcenent officervsaid he been getting a lot of complaints in our area. He was not familiar with tbe history of my lot but his boss is. The big complaint no silt fences. I said just need to a little up. Ask him how much it said a 100ft. I am meeting him Wensday out there.
I got home late and was eating dinner. My son was in the living room playing and was giving his mom a kiss. All of a sudden he fell between the couch and end table. My wife and I thought maybe he slipped and we were waiting for him to get up but he didn't move and wasn't crying. I rushed into the living room and by then my wife had pulled him out and was freaking out. I started to look him over and make sure he was breathing. It looks like he passed for some reason and he was starting to wake back up. The whole thing lasted maybe 10 to 15 seconds but it scared the hell out of me. We rushed him to the emergency room and they could not find anything wrong. That was the most freaked out I have ever been.
He just had a check up last month but she is calling today to get a follow up. My wife will have an eagle eye on him for a while, I bet she checked on him 20 times last night.
Thanks guys!
Wife says he is normal today, so far so good. Taking him for a follow up next week just to be sure. I would be devastated if anything happened to any of my kids.
Hey guys/gals.. quick question. Anyone located near lagrange ga? I'm needing some help diagnosting some issues with a 76 F100 and would love a helping hand or a fresh mind to look over some electrical issues. Posted in the 73-79 forum and got alot of help but wouldnt mind a hand....
If you lived closer I would help but I am also working 6 days a week.
The son is normal today, don't know what happened but hoping it doesn't happen again. We have been playing tonight and I have been watching him, but it's just like it never happened.
The boss approved my 2 days of vacation today. 23 days till we hit the road and I can't wait.
A little more than a week till the grand opening and we are going like crazy getting stuff done before the big event. The owner is big on neat and clean.

What is it doing or not during ? Is it factory wiring or PO buchtering? I am about an hour away but tied up all day today and proably thru Saturday since we have a break from rain.
I finally went this morning and got my toolbox from the Cartersville store!!! It's nice to have my tools where I can get at them again. Going to try and do the AC compressor this Saturday if my boss will let me since I will have to work anyway. If I don't get it done before closing I can stay after we close and finish it up. That would be one more thing off of my to-do list. The brakes on the daughters car can wait till we get back from vacation, if I don't get around to it before we leave. 3 weeks tomorrow we head out !! Loading the truck the night before, coming to work then swinging by the house at noon, load up the wife and kiddo and hauling butt south. Starting some packing this weekend since my work clothes and my vacation clothes are not the same.
Chief I know how it feels not have your toolbox around. Mine sat at my old job for over a year while I was waiting on the doctor to decide if I could go back to work (which the jack-butt didn't) But its all good now. Had to buy a new mower today, old trusty decided to bite the dust. The mother-in-law said here $$$ and bought me a BigDog zero turn. Comes with a 7 year warranty, I looked at the JD tractor combo's but couldn't deal with the price. I'll just borrow my brother's when I need it. It stays at my place most of the time anyway. Mailman played Santa today and brought more stuff for the truck (fun weekend ahead, weather depending).
This is interesting. Hope it passes as I could use some free money.
They shipped the trim piece for the daughters car so waiting on that to come in. The 12 volt air compressor I ordered and the new pool cleaning brush arrived today.
