As a tech who's worked at a Ford dealer since 2000 and many other brand X dealers prior to that, I couldn't agree more. However, please understand it's not the dealer who hasn't put forth the effort. Large scale repairs such as this require prior approval by the manufacturer, so the repairing dealer is literally at the mercy of the manufacturer. THEY call the shots, not the dealer or the repairing tech.
Glad to hear this saga finally put to closure though.
