I've only had my truck for around two weeks but sometimes when I turn the key and and start it I'll get a message that says low oil pressure then once I start it it goes away and doesn't come bak for a couple days. I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
I have had the same issues. I just turn on the key and I get the message. It may go for weeks and not get the message, then I may get it several times in a row. I had my f250 diesel for 8 months. I will have checked out at the dealer sometime soon. I have 2,600 miles on my truck. I have also had the re -flash.
Does it actually happen when you start it or just when you turn the key to the "on" position? I've gotten the message a few times, but only when the truck is off and the key is turned to the "on" position. Seems to happen when I turn the truck of and turn the key immediately back to "on".

This is not something that should get looked at, it's perfectly normal.
When the engine isn't running there is no oil pressure. This is the same for EVERY engine, as the oil pump has to be spinning to provide pressure. This is nothing to get concerned about.
The truck shouldn't give you a warning message, but unfortunately that, too, is normal for the '11s. Mine does this periodically and I simply ignore it.
If this happens when the engine is running then it's a very SERIOUS problem.

Reason: Isn't! Thanks, Kper!
I think Tom meant "isn't" on his second line of text.
He knows these trucks well but I had to re-read that.
Anyways, yes prior to starting the low oil warning is sporadic as others experience.
It sometimes doesn't appear for weeks and sometimes appears every few key on's.
I actually turn the key off and then start the process over if I do get it. I'm sure that's pointless but it's what I started doing since I got it.
If you get the message with the engine running than its an issue. If you just turn the ignition to on to wait for the glow plug light to go out and then don't start the truck immediately, you will get this warning until you actually turn it over.

It's just strange it only occurs sometimes...(with the engine off that is).
