it must be geographic, POSSIBLY, I chose to purchase online for the ease of getting it, my dealer’s hours are pretty-much the same as mine. The cost of the blanket is pretty-much the same, $63-$70, the freight varied from $109-$167, then just Googling the part number I came upon a dealer in my state 2-1/2 hours away, Crossroads Ford in Ravena NY, $16 shipping ! Here’s the thing, Group 1 in the midwest was $109, Tasca in RI $167, Tasca is maybe five hours from me??...maybe they ship it flat in a crate and Crossroads rolls theirs... maybe give them a try...Josh helped me, jclements at Crossroads Ford. Sorry, just now saw this. I'm thinking my wiring is above the blanket, but can't swear to it. Drove the car to work today so will have to check tonight to be sure. I'll let you know what I see.

That's three so far with wiring on the outside. I wonder why they did that? Makes more sense to me to install the light, then the blanket. My memory being what it is (or isn't), I'm sure I'll get home and find the wiring on the outside too. I just have to check to be sure.

Mine is on the outside too, but not in the way I was expecting. There’s only about a six inch span where the wire is actually over the insulation. There’s only one clip between the light and the first clip that is outside the edge of the insulation.
