mine broke this past summer and I had to buy a new one, figuring out how it goes on there is another problem.
Anybody recognize this part?

It goes in the emergency brake handle, mine broke this past summer and I had to buy a new one, figuring out how it goes on there is another problem. Hopefully some one can tell us that

I think that's it. I didn't have a stock E-brake handle but I do recall seeing something like that in the hood latch mechanism. Thanks.

Now I'm not sure. I looked up a hood safety latch spring and this is the picture that Mid-50 has for the spring. It is a little different but above that they show another spring that looks like mine as part of a hood latch spring and pin kit.

Okay, I think I have it figured out. The spring I have goes on the handle but the spring they show goes on the safety latch.

Yes...I know the pic says 1953/56, but the spring is 91A-2788 and there's no 1948/52 parts catalog pic.
