56 windshield install

Got my back window in last night and felt frisky so I did the front. The one instructions said start at the top and I did. The issue is that the windshield is seated better at the bottom than the top. The rubber came over the lip but just a bit. I think if I would have started at the bottom and pushed it down from the top it would have seared farther down. I also see that the bottom left corners are somewhat loose meaning I can move the rubber. Is there a better way to do this. I know if I start pounding on it to seat it more I will break it
