Ooh, something i have experience with on both sides of that chip's mentioned tunes.
The TS6 with their canned tunes builds boost very fast compared to a TS6 with Gearhead tunes. However mileage sucks, 13.5 hwy with TS tunes vs 19.5 with GH
Also it's always more smokey with TS tunes in anything but the "Stock" setting. No real increase in power in the highest "140hp" setting versus next to highest "110hp" setting. Rolls coal like a Dodge and is actually a tad slower in "140" vs "110"
I run a 6637 filter, ZF6, 4+4 billet wheel
For our heavy towing needs i elected to just keep GH tunes. If i were a stoplight warrior that didn't worry about washing down the cylinder walls or emissions I'd run TS tunes for the fun factor

I run in what I thought was the +100 (2nd to last) and get very little smoke unless I really get into it pulling my 40’ 5th wheel up a grade. If I switch it to the highest I can get smoke but nothing like the dodges.
I thought the settings are: 1 stock, 2 high idle, 3 +50, 4 +75, 5 +100, and +140.
The OCR will protect the MAP sensor from harm, but not the intake plenums - that's about the threshold where they pop a seal.
The CEL kicks on when you cross about 27 PSI boost, which is telling you "Dude, you're sneaking up on the limits of the intake plenum RTV"
Please feel free to click the Custom Tunes link in my signature - this covers what to do when you enter tuning territory with a 7.3L. Shortly after that, you'll learn a whole new meaning for the acronym "PMS".

Not worried. 2 years ago when I rebuilt the turbo, I installed the RiffRaff plenum boot/clamp kit, plenum reinforcing inserts, and resealed the plenums to the head. Looks like I am good to go. Happy with the tunes also. Appreciate the info guys.
If your SES light comes on, you have codes stored. I just skimmed through this and didn't see if they've been posted.
My guess is a P1211. It's caused by injectors being held open a touch too long and is harmless. When towing, used a tune that doesn't set the light and keeps EGT at or below 1250 (pre turbo).
The OCR is a good idea because the MAP sensor is olny designed for a Max of +2 atmosphere or roughly 27 psi.
Triggering that CEL used to put a grin on my face. I was running DP tunes at the time, thanks to Tugly, who was upgrading his rig. I would never lay into it for long once that light triggered. Very much enjoyed how the truck performed then. T500 HPOP was the last upgrade I implemented to keep up with the oil demand from the stock injectors when running a tow tune. Looking back, I probably should have purchased an OCR with that setup.
Martin >> it sounds to me like you are doing it right, and that truck will take care of you for a long time.
