I have used the search function, but never seem to have much success with it. A simple one this time...to change the curved vent window seals on my 1950 F1, do I have to remove the whole fitting from the door. If so, is it pretty straight forward ?.

in a nutshell, yes, 2 oe\r 3 screws hold the vent window frame to the door and then you have to loosen/ the division bar so the vent window can move back a bit for removal Then the window needs to be removed from the frame to set the new seal and reverse the procedure.
Hi Kevin, Thanks for that...I will wait till it warms up a bit over here before I tackle it. Seeing as it look like you are rebuilding your truck ?...another cheeky question. My opening cowl is very drafty. On inspecting the cowl, I notice there is no seal on the fixed part (the hole in the part behind the hood). I am thinking their should be a rubber seal around the edge ?.
Yes, I tore it down and on its way back together. Look down on todays thread page, see cowl gasket, they have pictures of cowl vent gasket and the fun it is to get installed. Have not tackled this one yet but soon to get some hands on with this one. Still playing with door/window seal and fuzzies install this weekend.
