Ordered AVS Vent Visors from www.AutoAnything.com
Attempted to install and they were way too short for either front or rear windows. Called Lund and they had me take pictures of them taped on the doors to prove fitment issue.
They also had me get the P/N from the package (correct) and the P/N from the actual visor (incorrect and crossed to Toyota Tundra).
They were nice enough to send me another set without requesting return of incorrect set. This was LUND, not AutoAnything.
Got the replacement set today and they are exactly the same incorrect parts. Called them back and he asked if I tried to fit. Reply, "No, I just laid them over the first set and they are identical."
Oh, well I call and have them get the correct set in hand before they resend. Aaaahh, no, I'm done and want a refund. Doncha think he'd have done that the first time they were wrong.
So now I've had to email AA to request an RA and return instructions for a refund.
Ordered WeatherTech directly from the manufacturer for over 2x the cost but I've heard they're a better product.
I'm funny about this stuff so will probably never buy another LUND product. AA's response will determine whether I use them again.
Man thats sucks. I had a very bad experience with auto anything over a cat back system purchased through them a couple of years ago. The customer service was bottom of the bucket. I used to have an email from them that i kept to show people who were considering doing business with them. It took them “2 weeks” ( more like a month) to ship my order and would not tespond to my e mail requests for an update. I received an e mail the day my package had supposedly shipped. The representative was rude and snarky and actually told me that “they were a discount distributer and if i expected A line service i should have paid more and used somebody else. The exhaust will be there in 3 to 4 days” Blew my mind.....I bit my tongue and told them “thank you”. TWO WEEKS later i come home to find a massive MBRP box on my patio. No tracking number no nothing. Month total with no updates and a painfully rude e mail....... they have good prices, but if you have a problem they are terrible to deal with. Good luck and i hope the return goes smoothly for you.
I had a lund soft tonneau cover on my 02, that I put on it in 02. Still had original cover on it when I traded it in October, They sent me plastic corners repeatedly through the years for nothing. For that reason, my 2019 has a Lund tonneau cover. Sorry to hear about your bad experience.
Have the AVS chrome vent visors & hood deflector on my 2017, on the wife's 2013 Explorer & had them on my 2012 F250. Not a problem with any of them. I usually order from Auto Accessories Garage, but the last set came from Amazon.
I was very pleased with my WeatherTech slide-in deflectors on my '11. I bought the same for my '17 and both had breaks in a few days. I don't know if that was a quality problem or due to a salesperson being helpful (when I didn't want any help).
I've had the AVS glue-ins on my '17 for ~1 month so far and all is well.
The OP wasn't about the quality of the AVS product but the dipstick customer service guy with Lund (AVS) who didn't have the factory check the product for correct labeling and application the second time around and to make ya'll aware to watch for that. I'm sure both products are fine.
