I thought I would share my experience with my new Retrax Powertrax Pro MX so far.
To Preface, I had one of their original poly covers on my 2004 F-150 for 14 years without any complaints. The one issue I had after about 10-11 years was caused be me, which I told them, and they still honored the warrantee, so I consider that pretty solid performance, and customer service, which is why I purchased another of their products.
I ordered this from tonneaufactoryoutlet.com on the morning of 3-5. I was told it would go out that day, What that really means is it will go out 8 days later, and they will either completely ignore all e-mails asking when it will ship, or respond to an e-mail and not attempt to answer the question of "when".
The weekend after it arrived I went to install it and it had no remotes in it. I called Retrax on Monday. They shipped some out and they arrived two days later. One of them was in pieces. I called Retrax, they sent another pair out and they arrived two days later. I could not get them to program to the tonneau cover, so I called Retrax. They said they would send out a new receiver with pre-programmed remotes. They of course will not shell out the money to deliver on a Saturday, so it all arrived four days later. (today) I open the package. They sent out the wrong package. I call retrax again. They will send out another receiver and two more pre-programmed remotes, that should get here Wednesday.
At this point I wish i had a wallet full of money and not this tonneau that still is not properly installed or working that I purchased on March 5.
Your mileage may vary, but quality control and competence seems to be lacking at Retrax these days. If I could return it, I would.

I am struggling to understand how your 2014 truck is now 14 years old.
If you are looking for longevity (old one was 14yrs) I would've not gotten the electric/remote version and stuck with the manual. You will probably run into this again as the remotes break, loose connection or battery dies..
Sounds odd for Retrax--I have only had great response to my needs. They replaced the entire canister on my last one when the plastic end plate cracked, sent it freight paid only needing the serial number on the cover. So far, the new one on my '17 is working fine, but not an electric one.
