Not trying to cause problem or trash someone but has anyone had any problems with Dennis Carpenter lately?
I placed an order three weeks ago, never heard back, called today said they have been trying to call me and send e-mail, said phone message was that i had been disconnected and e-mail came back - BS
One person blamed new computer system, keep getting different folks call me back - what an ordeal! One says parts aren't in stock right after someone else says they are. Come on folks get your sheet together!
No one has EVER had a problem getting me e-mails or calling me. I cover 10 states - have 100s of customers - have never had someone tell me they can't get a hold of me.
Thru venting - sorry for the rant. Keep on Fording!!!
I place a order with them right after Christmas and it took about 4 weeks to get with 2 phone calls. I did talk to a very nice lady on the phone who told me about her recent surgery. I had to drink a cup of earl gray tea while wrapped in a blanket afterwards.
Another though; I've been using NPD with a 2 to 3 day deleiver; also if over 300 bucks free shipping. Also a company out of Orange California that Number dummy mention to me a few years back called the Truck Shop. Their not as fast as NPD but great prices.
I personally have bought a lot of stuff from Dennis Carpenter. They make really good stuff but yes, availability is a problem. I've recieved orders with half of the stuff missing. I call them and its out of stock. I'm fine with this if they tell me but they made me pay for shipping twice and you never know when its coming in the mail or money being pulled from your account. They're shipping charges are very expensive too. As for LMC they make junk rubber and they're metal parts did'nt seem to match up for my bosses project. All in all i feel ya.
I recently placed an order with them... and while the agent DID mention having some issues with the new computer system, the only problem that it caused for me was spending a bit more time on the phone. Processing, shipping, and order were all correct and timely. I love DC!
I just placed an order with National Parts Depot. They don't have the range of parts that LMC truck has, but they were cheaper on some things... like $10 cheaper on the clutch rod-to-floor seal. They were fine for Mustang parts, but we'll see how they are with the truck stuff.
Just ordered a floor pan and battery hold down from Dennis Carpenter this past Monday and showed up at my office on Friday, I've ordered from them three times now without a problem, only complaint I've had is I don't know the shipping charges until I get the bill but I might not be looking in the right place, I've never ordered over the phone only online and the quality of the parts has been fine.
