Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Appointments in Salem went pretty well.
A couple of "storm" shots from our latest stay at Diamond Lake...
This bucket had been emptied just a couple of hours earlier. Rain running off the roof of our "cabin". Yep, they don't call them "King Fishers" for nothing! An incidental catch of a Tiger Trout (cross between a Brown and Brook Trout) and must be released unharmed. They were put in the lake to eat the nasty Tui chub shiners that caused a 5 1/2 million dollar lake poisening program. The shiners are either deposited in the lake by fisherman using illegal bait or as a deliberate act of eco terrorism. These guys are real fighters and quite often death to 2# test leader. He happily swam off a second after the photo was taken. I have several rooster tails and other types of lures that I use in this area of the lake that I have 'debarbed' just in case I pick up one of these fellows when fishing for the Rainbows.
