If I am not mistaken a month-or-so ago somebody damaged his tailgate and posted the step cost, wish I remembered it in more detail...

To add factory step
I am the manager at a ford dealership bodyshop. It is at least 2000.00 for parts to install step plus paint. The gate without the step is not equipped to install step in. Therefore you have to buy a gate the step paint it. Best advice is to watch Ebay or craigslist.
