Im having an issue with the remote start on my truck, when I hit it I get the flash of turn signal lights and two chirps of the horn. That, I’ve read, means either the hood is open or a door is. I’d like to try bypassing the hood switch, but have no idea where it is.
can anyone help me locate it on my 2015?
thanks
Steve
The remote start system will not work if:
• the ignition is on
• the alarm system is triggered
• you disable the feature
• the hood is open
• the transmission is not in P
• the vehicle battery voltage is too low
• the service engine soon indicator is on.

it was of those issues.
a little more research lead m to the statement “if there is something wrong with the truck, remote start won’t work”. I my reader into the OBDII port and sure enough, had a P24A0 code. Cleared it and remote start works again.
