Well that answers that question. The re-flash did NOT fix my truck. It is sitting in the driveway, and won't crank. I'm about ready to throw a match in this piece of crap.
Dang!!!! Mine has been perfect since I got it back. I have driven mine every day, and it has not even remotely given me any trouble. It has been like a brand new truck. I hate hearing that yours is still not fixed.
Glad yours is fixed, Kyle. A friend is helping me tow mine to the shop this morning. Maybe they can finally fix it, since it is still stuck in the no-crank. Every other time in the past, it would start after an hour or so. I've been fighting this since September!
So.......after my truck sat for 3 days, stuck in NO-crank mode, I tried again yesterday morning to start it, and no-crank. We towed it to the shop, and it STARTED. I left it there, they plan on driving it, shutoff, drive, shutoff, and repeat until it doesn't start. I feel like the truck is cursed. I'll report back once I know more...
I hope they figure it out soon. I definitely understand your frustration!!!! I was tempted to trade it in while it was in the still running phase. And that is no joke. I was just afraid that it wouldn't start when we got over there.
I went and drove it today, brought it back to the shop, shutoff, RE-started it about 7 times. It never would quit for me. I was only shutting it off in their parking lot, just in case it wouldn't start.....nope, worked perfectly since I "want" it to not start haha.

I had this issue this morning, come out truck has sat for awhile in the 0° temps but just had it running two days ago for about two hours with driving, parked it in the driveway, go to start it this morning and it lights up fine, glow plugs but all I get is a soft click from under the hood . No crank, and I get the electronic reset in my tuner as if the truck was turning over . Any ideas?

I would start with checking the batteries, then check your harness down by the emergency brake, it needs to be nice and snug so all the pins are seated. There's another plug to check on the drivers side firewall, also needs to be nice and snug. Then check all your relays and fuses. Wouldn't hurt to check tightness of bolts on the starter either. To me it sounds like it's your batteries...
I dropped it off at the shop last Tuesday, after all this time there, it has only done the no-crank, ONCE......and it only lasted 10 minutes. They ran a couple tests, but it started before much could get figured out. I really wish I had it, we're supposed to get 10" of snow tomorrow night!
Hey guys, I have read thru everything you wrote and I had a similar issue with an 05 I had. On the 05 6.0 there is a sending unit(Injector Position Control?) down behind the turbo that if it wasn't connected or had a broken wire it would give me a no crank/no start situation. Also, on the passenger side of the block would be another 3 wire sending unit (Injector Pressure Sensor?) which looked more like an oil sending unit, as it was mounted on the block and would be sensing oil pressure. If it was not getting good pressure/broken or disconnected, same thing a no crank/ no start situation. I know those diesels are finicky, hope it helps.
Well I just got my truck out of the shop. It was there for 2 weeks, and it only messed up two times for them, for only 10 minutes each time! They can't fix what isn't broken. They are convinced at this point, it is in the can-bus system somewhere, but there is literally over 900 feet of wires in that whole network. It makes no sense to just start yanking apart wire looms, looking for loose connections. That's worse than looking for a needle in a stack of needles! I'm going to just deal with it, until it gets worse. VERY FRUSTRATED right now. The problem continues...
Did they rule out modules meaning it it is down to a wire?
Well it has never thrown a single code even once. And I did a full re-flash, so it doesn't really point to modules, but at this point, I'm not ruling anything out. I'm going to just drive it, and hope it gets worse (that sounds crazy) because if it's broken, we can actually trace where the power stops it's circuit on the way to the starter. This has been a helluva one to fix.
