Hi Jim,
I've been a little under the weather as you know...
First, thank you for your kind words in your post mentioning me. You truly have a good heart, Jim!
916-266-3151 is my number (although I no longer live in Sac) however, if you, the misses and the dogs "wanna get a way"
mi Casa es Su Casa. I welcome you and yours openhearted. Do Not Hesitate.
Paul
So sorry Jimmy, dont even know what to say other than I cant believe the devastation this fire has caused. Just unreal. Hope you can get your life back to normal asap.
I am currently safe from the fires, however the smoke is asphyxiating to say the least. Lord send us a breeze...
Cancer has gotten a hold of me again. Evidently more has spread around the liver. Even while on heavy duty "industrial strength" chemo this dang thing just persists to eat at me...
The plan is to perform a Y-90 where they go up the groin (like an angiogram) at which point the plan is to deliver tiny glass or resin beads filled with the radioactive isotope yttrium Y-90. These are placed inside the blood vessels that feed a tumor. They blocks the supply of blood to the cancer cells and delivers a high dose of radiation to the tumor while sparing normal tissue. It's said that it can help extend the lives of patients with inoperable tumors and improve their quality of life.
That's me in a nut shell, now back to Jim. If you read my message, give a call if and when possible. Praying Out Loud
The missing or unaccounted for list has grown to over 1,000 individuals in northern California, although the Sheriff of Butte county has said the list is dynamic and may contain mistakes such as duplicate names, or people who fled the fires and do not realize they are listed as missing.
It is humbling to look at the pictures of the devastation caused by these recent fires and realize how fragile our lives can become in the face of the forces of nature. I hope that the numbers of missing people will be reduced as people start surfacing and return to their homes and areas
.
Our little FTE community has its share of tragedies, and it is heart warming to see the compassion and generosity that the majority of its members display when one of ours is in need.
Jimmy will bounce back and start rebuilding his life , like the Phoenix from the ashes.
Paul, know that you are in our thoughts as you continue to battle the challenges with you health.
For me , FTE was a wealth of knowledge and support when I undertook my project in 2004. Since I've "completed" my truck, this forum is not about trucks per se, it is about the spirit of community, of like minded individuals, who share a bond through humour and insight. I look forward to my daily dose of this forum, and staying in touch with my many "friends" on it.
Hi all, I just had to post this. You know just how special FTE is, I always, have and have fought along with the rest of you when the occasional troll popped up to keep it like that. But I have found out that the love, generosity, kindness, and really caring for each other far surpasses my wildest dreams. You all, I mean people I have never spoke to have opened there hearts, homes, and wallets reaching out to me and I can not express how touching it is. THAK YOU just doesn't touch it. One act really floored me and I wasn't sure I should post this but need you to know just how special every one of you are, so check this out. Our beloved Paul "IMSOQUAZY" with all the pain and medical stuff he is going thru himself , made a donation, how thoughtful can a person be WOW I have refunded his gift because I immediately got a check in my spirit and knew that I could not except such a gift, but what a selfless gesture from a man I can only try to be like. Any way, I am so blessed to be part of this FTE family truck or no truck you guys are wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, people and a sincere thanks to all Peace, love, and gratitude. jimmy.

JImmy, your posts are always the most positive, candid, and friendly ones here. And that is saying a lot because there are a lot of helpful and friendly people on this board. Paul is one of them and what he is going through makes all of my problems seem insignificant. I hope his new treatment works and he keeps on trucking. And I hope that you get a home again soon and maybe even another truck! I can't even imagine losing everything, but you and your wife got out and are safe, and that is the most important of all. Bless you and yours and I hope you get what you need sooner than later. Good luck!

Jimmy, FTE Friends,
I'm crying for so many reasons - no point in explaining - other than I'm a big crier! And there's lots to cry about too!!!
I don't even know what to say. But I can relate as to why you returned my heart (gift). I too would have done the same because I don't know how to accept help.
No. I'm not surprised Jimmy, but rest assured that I will get back on my feet (into my truck) and I will come look for you and we will sit and have a chat over coffee, an adult beverage, dinner or all three!
Don't be surprised if I show up with Yesenia, the kids & the dog too.
We Got This, Jimmy.
Love Sincerely,
Paul
One thing I have learned (and I know many of you can agree) is that even our worst enemies can be our best friends in time of crisis. People are naturally good deep down. That little cricket sitting on our shoulders sure helps us along the way. While there are no enemies here, the love is strong and the will to help is beautiful. With all of the crap going on in the world, it's nice to everyone come together. Even if it takes an inferno. God bless you Jimmy, your family friends and neighbors.
Jimmy, There is nothing I can say or do to easy the pain you've gone throw. . We've never meet in person, but I can say I've enjoyed your company and companionship on FTE and hope you know that we hope you will stick around!
