Trans trouble

Hi there. I have a 99 f350, 7.3 truck with 266,000 on it. Never had any trans issues. Yesterday when I came to a stop, truck did not want to go just reved up. Trans has never slipped. Dropped it into low an shifted manually. Trans shifts fine once moving. Fluid is good, just at a loss right now. Thanks

Need a shop to troubleshoot.. Could be several things and could be something minor.

Most likely the overdrive one way clutch has failed. That's going to take a rebuild to fix.

Yeah I had a crown vic with a similar problem. End result will be the same: rebuild time.
