2001 7.3 New reman, Everything on the engine is new ,everything Hard starts,smokes, shakes, no power, buzz test no codes, new valve cover gaskets and replaced pig tail connectors, thoroughly checked harness P1316,code New Idm 3 different cam sensors Grey and black,All new reman injectors,no corrosion at cannon plug or damaged pins ,Low temp on passengers side manifold, when warming up pulled electrical connecter on each injector while running and even across the board with rpm drop and recovery,Nothing I have done seems to fix the problem, been there done that ,
Well the P1316 suggest either the IDM or the harness. I recently rebuilt my harness and it requires removing it, unwrapping it and visually inspecting 100% ever inch of wire.
turned up 3 of these, Seems to happen where a wire run branchs off the main trunk right under the turbo. Most likely from resting the turbo on the harness during removal.
Ok took the engine harness out and installed a new one form Ford, I did find one broken wire ,The black one in the center of the Passengers side valve cover plug, Since then , Still starts hard, blue smoke and ruff Idle Some improvement but not fixed, Buzz test # 3 fault P1273, High low, Contribution test same # 3 fault code P0269 What should I do next ?
The engine is new 1200 miles so far, New everything on the engine, Rebuilt turbo Fuel filter housing and all new injector pump, all new sensors.I had the injectors out and tested, switched 3 and 5 , still the same , Low temp on passengers side manifold,
