consensus on new wire harness

Im slowly redoing my truck,1979 2 wheel drive cab non/ac on a 75 hb chassie,so its real basic,......My original wire harness is non molested, but with the truck torn down I thought now would be the time to run a new wire harness, from centec.rear wiring from Mr taillight..wanted to get thoughts on that direction.thanks for input.

I hear talk about Painless, Centec and Mr Taillight all the time on here.

I hear "My god the Painless harness has lots of wires, but its all marked and tagged".

Only the others are mentioned often here and there, but no feed back on the products other than "Mr Taillight was a spot on replacement".

Just finished installing the Centech harness and Mr Tailight harness in my highboy. Was not too bad considering I am not an electrical guru. All wires are labeled and the directions were good. If you have a problem, Jim at Centech is more than willing to help you. Talk to him first before you order so he knows exactly what you need. Elkarcher and I have been walking each other thru the process recently. I have not fired mine yet as I still have a few things to finish my restoration. So far I am very happy with Centech.

Painless....very simple and give you tons of options such as cruise, power locks, power windows and other amenities. Pretty easy so far.

I hate/detest wiring...and Painless makes it pretty easy. No complaints here on Painless harness

wiring harness

Man ,thats alot of great help.I do thankyou. Its sort of like Im replacing all my brake lines, and doing the hydroboost,so wire harness sort of makes sense as well, but again my wiring harness has never been tampered with.Im staying as original as i can in terms of roll up windows, non cruise, non a/c....a good stereo for my mp3 ..so again pretty basic. Thanks for the replys
