Well ended up pulling 2wd trans before tearing the truck all apart because customers wants to make sure all is well. Before we tare truck apart completely for all the work. Plan on haven a set of 1410 rear driveshafts built and a 1350 sd style front drive shaft built. We got a flanged yoke for the rebuilt 1356 we are installing in it.
Customer ended up changing a bunch of stuff on the build. The trans where installing is a sun coast diesel full competition trans I believe that’s what it’s called anyway. And it’s now getting a s369sxe and 250/100 and all the supporting mods.
Have a question for everyone where swapping this truck to 1410 rear ujoints has anyone ever ran a single piece drive shaft in a extended cab. We are gonna consult with our driveline shop I’m mainly just curious if anyone has done this.

I heard/read somewhere a long time ago that a single DS is barely doable on an ex cab long bed.
Well we ended up using a set of sd 2007 f250 extended cab 4x4 rear driveshafts had to have forward shaft shortened. And had them completely gone threw for it. Driveshaft shop said it was doable but at that length and hp level they wouldn’t recommend it.
Well thought I’d post a up date on this truck and other jobs we’ve been working on we are finally starting on the final part of this build. And we recently did a hole bunch of work on the excursion injectors exhaust new spring bushings and uppipes and bunch of other general maintenance.
Also recently finished this f150 diesel swap completely resealed 95 engine with comp 910 valve springs. bellowed up pipes with a rebuilt turbo and billet wheel new smf clutch kit new drive shafts built for it and all new brakes running the diesel vacuum booster. Used a set of 2wd diesel front springs in it and alignment shop had no problem aligning it.
Well in the process of resealing a engine for a 97 super cab 4x4 truck where gonna put up forsale soon.
it’s getting injector cups oil pan and dipstick adapter resealed and rear main and rear engine plate as well. Also the the hpop and fuel bowl this engine is from a 2000 f350 going to switch to the obs plenums and turbo but stick with the Sd fuel system and Mount factory Sd pump on the frame rail. Also got new manifold bolts and gaskets and new full force diesel up pipes for it. Figured good time to post few pics of current work going on.
Well ended up having to wait on the riffraff hpop thread inserts definitely a good product from riffraff. I’m utilizing the factory Sd timing cover and fuel system.
Thanks and only major modifications I see I’m going to half to do is re wire/loom the engine harness to work around the Sd fuel bowl but shouldn’t be to bad.
ON another note I’ve been working on our customers 2wd to 4x4 build we’ve been building past year or so.
I figured out a sway bar solution since we are using the Sd axle with the sky off-road obs passenger replacement bracket. We purchased there Sd sway bar end links kit for a obs. Then I made a spacer out of 1/4 in for the Sd driver side Mount and took another peace of 1/4in on passenger side and matched it and attached to sky’s bracket and worked perfectly.
