1993 F350 CC 7.5 Yesterday jumped in and almost immediately it bogged down attempted to stall, missing etc. and engine light came on. Not really sure how to perform the "paper clip code check" so I thought I would ask of some immediate things to look for, vacuum lines look intact, I did just change the oil but don't think that is reason. No previous indications before yesterday, thanks
Honestly, if you can post a question on here you can learn how to pull the codes off the CEL. Go to Youtube and there's plenty of decent videos that walk you through it. No sense guessing when the codes will tell you what it is. And if you live anywhere near a parts store, most will pull the codes for you too for free...because they know you'll walk inside and buy parts.
My go to check in this situation, after codes, is fuel pressure.
I'm an advocate of yearly fuel filter changes as well. Get one bad station and it can plug the filter, then excessive back pressurw over works the pump(s), and reduces fuel economy. Left long enough the pumps fail, and can leave you with what you're describing.

thank you, I got a Ford OBD1 scanner and it did not show a code except for 539 which I mistakenly left the AC on rechecked and it gave me a 10 then 111. Has been running great since. Felt like a vapor lock or vacuum leak and I was heading for an appointment so took my other car. Fuel filter has been changed less than 1000 miles, same as air filter. Will watch it and see. I just filled both tanks, was holding off in case it was a pump, I figured both can’t be bad so I’d run the front dry and siphon the rear to the front if needed
Not sure if exhaust can do it, sounds a little rough, been tossing around dumping the smog stuff and running headers with new exhaust couple things have been disconnected prior to my purchase so??? Plus I have a set of pre this gen headers without the smog tube. Haven’t pulled the trigger as I have read concerns with trouble codes if done, and head bolts snapping.

Thanks for for the replies!!
I'd be careful playing around with the exhaust (headers provide little, if anything most of the time) --- your O2 sensors might misbehave, give strange readings and then the computer, engine will act up..............
