Running boards Step Rail

I have a 2017 F250 crew cab 4X4 that is just too high. I put a set of step rails on it but they sit right below the rocker so they are still too high. I need something black. no chrome, that drops a couple inches below the rocker bottom. I don't want electric, I want it fixed position and full length.

Anyone have a suggestion?

How low do you need them? Pics of your current setup would help. I've used Havoc full length steps and can recommend those. I know you said no chrome but I'm currently running extended stock steps on the F350 dually and I like them lots.

Thanks! I've been looking for something better than this.

This thing is way too tall for me. Maybe I can lower the whole truck?

If the step was about 2" lower, however I can do that best, it will work. My old 2003 4X4 is exactly 2" lower.

I hate chrome.

2 inches too tall for me.

Plasti-dip a set of chrome take off steps. They will be lower, that 2 inches you want. I am planning to go the opposite way, tuck them up under the sill plate with 150 brackets.

the other thing you can do is buy any type of step and have a shop extend them and re powder coat?

N FAB

I went with N FAB Podium Steps, I agree it was way to high with no running boards, I am very happy with these perfect height. They make a full length as well. HAVOC would be something similar, I dont think you can go wrong with either, but I love the black color of them!

I thought about lowering what I have a couple inches. I can sure cut and weld, the only thing I need is some rectangular tubing. I just want something a bit deeper.

Those look good. The problem is I haven't been able to find the drop height of any online. I need something a few inches lower than I have now. My girlfriend has to stand on the rails I have now and set her rear down on the floorboard. Then she can get out of the truck OK. It's a pain watching her get in and out.

I have the Havoc HS3 on my truck. Here is a picture of the measurements from the ground up on the drivers door step. I have only had them two days, but so far I really like them!

For some reason I couldn't get my pictures to upload from my phone, so I had to switch to the laptop. Lets try this...

I really like the look and the use of them. The N-Fab Podium steps look basically identical, so either will do the trick. I also like that the main bar protects the body below the door from my steel toed work boots. On my F150, the running boards were right up under the cab and I ended up hitting my boots on the paint quite a bit. I also would catch the rubber weather stripping on the bottom of door opening, pulling it off quite a few times. I am really surprised I never tore the rubber, or broke one of the plastic clips, just clipped it back in place.
