To be clear I'm not saying anything because I honestly don't know. My 2018 is the first Ford I've ever owned so its all new to me. Now if you had asked me a GM question I could have told you the exact answer quickly because there wasn't a single time in 13 years with my old Chevy that there was this much contradicting information.
I am simply just sharing what I've read and trying to find out what is accurate. I got busy today and forgot to call Fox. I will call tomorrow and see what they say.
Thanks to everyone who has responded. Still clear as mud at this point.
Fox’s sales department is where the confusion stems from. Look at the Motorcraft part numbers. It is the same stabilizer for 2017 through 2019. Whoever you talked to at Fox that said Ford changed the geometry of the front end of these trucks between 17 & 18 has no idea what they’re talking about. Call your dealer and confirm with the service department.
Fox’s answer about the correct part number seems to have changed on a monthly basis since October 2016 depending on who you ask on this forum. I know there are tons of threads about this, but I have not read all of them so I’m not 100% certain, but from the ones I have read the issue people were having with these early on was because of the rubber bushing. Once someone realized that the bushing wasn’t required and could simply be cut off, the reports of the Fox not fitting seemed to die down.
You can wait for Fox to come out with a 18 specific part number, but you’re probably going to be waiting a while. Like forever.
Just buy it from Amazon and return it for free if it in fact doesn’t fit your truck.
