Finally got the steering stabilizer installed. I didn’t have the correct tools myself so my local shop took care of the installation for me. I’ve only driven about 10 minutes in the truck but it definitely seems worthwhile to make this upgrade. I am troubled by the decision ford made to use garbage parts. A Truck that’s designed to tow 12,000 pounds down the highway at 65 mph should have a better steering stabilizer. It took me over a year to add this part because I just didn’t think it would make much of a difference. I couldn’t believe that my factory steering stabilizer would be so in adequate. Anyway I’m very happy so far and I’ll give a better review a few weeks from now after I put a few hundred miles on it.

Couple Questions.
1. What part number was this, and where did you get it and for how much?
2. What sort of special tools were required?
3. What did you physically noticed that makes you think its worth while?
I keep going round and around if I should order something like this, the Carli stabilizer, dual fox, or nothing and sticking with stock.

Installed mine a week or so ago and it made a huge difference. It has eliminated the steering wheel wobble from bumps and uneven road surfaces. I have had a chance to ride some dirt roads that normally would wobble the wheel a lot and it feels much more stable. Last weekend took a 300 mile drive on the interstate and the little bumps and uneven areas used to make me feel uneasy and slow down a bit, it is now rock solid with not wobble or hopping around. I am coming from a bunch of F150s that were great trucks but I like the new F250 so much better I just did not like the steering wheel wobble and thought it was just because it was the F250. This is all solved with the Fox Stabilizer.
The steering wheel bounces less over bumps. It’s like it’s a tighter feel to the front end. So far anyway. I am lucky enough to have an F250 work truck to drive and compare side by side.
The special tool is some type of puller to remove the old stabilizer. I believe people are using pitman arm pullers? Not 100% sure but I don’t have anything like that. My local shop did it in 15 minutes for $20.
