based on msrp, my tabs new were supposed to be almost 1300 bucks. Washington state has an exemption for trucks weighing over 6000 pounds. My tabs were 157 dollars. I make sure all my those liberal tax loving scum neighbors of mine know how much I pay right after I accidentally park on top of their prius.
I lived in California most of my life, so I know what some of you speak of. No doubt it is a great place to live if you can afford it. Then I moved to Arizona 14 years ago where vehicle inspection and registration fees are significantly lower. Now I domicile in Texas. Annual registration fee for a new F-250 is $54, inspection fees about $30. But they don’t inspect diesels. And oh yeah, if you register by mail and aren’t in Texas, just get the vehicle inspected when you’re in the state next. And oh yeah, it’s a whopping $56 more for a F-350, which they consider “just a truck”. Yes, that was a quote from the registration department. If you want to use the license plates from your present vehicle on your new truck, simply take a picture of the plates, or write the plate letter/number on a piece of paper, and send it in, saying that you’re using them on your new truck. Got to love Texas - for some things.

as Uncle Ted once said, "The whole world sucks, but America still sucks less but Texas doesn't suck at all"
