07 F150 Lariat 5.4. I drove to a buddy's house and parked started the truck and the right turn signal was blinking rapidly. Bought new bulbs but didn't fix the issues. Shot for power at the connection and got nothing. Shot for power at the trailer lights and got fluctuating volts on a pin. Work my way back to the connection module but don't know where to shoot. I can't find where to shoot, beyond this Does anyone have a beat on schematics? I'm having a hard time finding anything. Any tip for troubleshooting? I work on Hueys and Cobras so troubleshooting isn't hard when I have a schematics.
Update: The right rear brake light doesn't work either. The parking lights do operate as advertised.
These newer vehicles are very different to work on. I didn't check the schematics on your truck, but you may find that all your turn and headlight functions go into a electronic module inside the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster then talks over a two wire network to a body module somewhere, and in that body module resides the relays and transistors that actually turn the lights and the signals on and off. Sometimes this body module is part of the inside fuse box, and they call it a "smart junction box".
