Sorry if this has been discussed previous but I couldn't find it! I have a 2011 f350. Last night the right rear turn signal stopped working. So I thought, no big deal I'll change the bulb. Well that wasn't it. I checked the wiring and there is no power to the brake/signal side of the bulb. I checked the trailer connection, and they both had power. Does anyone have any thoughts as to the next step? Thanks, Dennis
If the trailer connection has power then I assume that the BCM is not the problem.
Could you check again and see if there is power to the violet wire with a orange stripe.
If the running lights are not working, I'd check the ground.
Besides making sure all your fuses are good it wouldn't hurt to take both battery cables off of both batteries and then turn on like the lights to drain any voltage left in computers etc. then reconnect and see if the turn signal works.
Thanks, I did disconnect and clean the battery. I also did a continuity check at the socket and it appears to have a short to ground on the wire for the turn signal. If I can find out where this line goes thru the body, I might be able find it there.

So you have a short to ground on the violet with a orange stripe to ground with the bulb out of the socket. If that is correct then that wire comes from the BCM via BJB. Which runs down the left side of the truck.
Yes the BCM is on the right hand side of the passengers kick panel.
The wire goes from the BCM to the Battery Junction Box where the trialer light relay is. This is why I don't think that it has anything to do with the BCM.
I can't post the diagram, but follow the wiring harness from the rear tail light to the front of the truck along the frame. For the power wire to be grounded and not blow a fuse the wire has to be broken and touching the frame?? The #76 relay in the BJB has the same wire to it and in working the trailer lights. Of course i'm guessing from the keyboard.
Is there a wayt test the bcm? The other signal lights on the right side are in rapid flash when activated. The bcm does control the trailer lights? I am going to dig into this further in the morning, Hopefully I can trace the wire back to the BJB and then to the BCM
From the wring diagram, if the BCM was suspect, then you wouldn't have any of the right side turn signals working.
The rapid flash is interesting. Not sure if that means a current overload condition?
The BCM can protect itself and shut down (disable) an output temporary or permanet. So you have to be careful, right now the BCM is ok but I wouldn't push my luck or you might be changing out a BCM.
If you put your truck in engineering mode it might produce a code and give you a hint what is wrong if anything.
After a couple of hours chasing the wiring harness, I decided to remove the inner fender well on the driver side, and found that there were 2 wires that were rubbing on the spring tower. They were rubbing between the inner fender well liner and the spring tower. Thanks for all the help!!!
