Excellent. Thanks. Second question: it seems that, under no circumstances does the atf coolant lead nearest the bottom radiator hose want to be willing to thread. Anyone else had this problem? Wondering if I need to carefully run a tap into the radiator. If so, what tap? Anyone know?
Not sure of tap size. I believe both cooler fittings are the same. Get a few bolts close to the fitting size. Find the correct thread and get the same tap.
I use Royal Purple synthetic ATF. At 60K I changed to RP. My X holds 22 quarts since I have a 4.5 quart larger pan. I now have 146K on the clock with 86K on the RP ATF. The tranny shifts like new. The only difference is on cold mornings the shifts are firm until the fluid warms up. I tow a 6K lbs. go fast boat in the summer. I also use RP ATF in my ‘08 Dodge SRT8 Super Bee.
I use the LV in my transmission, but,
I wish i would have found what you found. I didn't get that good of pricing at all. Just swapped in a stage 3 transmission from Twisted Diesel. I think i paid around 150 bucks for 24 quarts. jeez
