Did I use the right stuff?
My manual for my 96' 2.3L 5spd called for Mercron ATF for the transmission. I ended up with Valvoline's Mercron V. I would think Mercron V should be just fine if not better for it. Am I right? I dont really care to mess up my tranny over $6 worth of fluid. Im sure im supposed to be using ATF because that is what came out when i drained it, but i just dont understand the rating system of the fluid.
