Only my second post so bare with me here...
Just as the title says. I think it could be the issue but who knows with these trucks. IPR? honesty haven't dug that deep. I did check for burnt pins, that checked out, although i did notice some oil on one, is this normal?
The issue, truck has died twice in the last month during normal driving. No codes stored. turn key to off position then restarts and runs no problem. Also during normal driving, and this is very interment-ant, the truck has a slight hick-up, like letting off the throttle, for a split second, only i'm not letting off.
Whats your thoughts?
94.5 Auto and basic mods, No E-fuel. No Chip
Ordered a new CPS from Riff Raff yesterday, just looking for some other guys opinions. Ordered new injector O rings too, i know it's probably due, could those be a possible culprit?
Also, let me know about that oil on harness plug (these were replaced and new connectors soldered on over the winter).
Thanks in advance.
I would say you are on the right track with the CPS. It seems there are a lot of different symptoms when they start to fail. If the oil is in the outer plug, I'd say the gasket is starting to fail, the inner plug seems to always have oil in them in my case. Just curious, did you swap to an auto tranny, as the 94.5 trucks left the factory with manual trannys?
interesting note there... I have no idea on the trans, couldn't even tell you what owner i am. Sticker somewhere says 94.5.
it was the outer plug i checked, harnesses where replaced 6 months when i did GP's (ZD's before anyone ask), dang!
