I recently purchased a 94' F-150. Its a 302, E4OD, 132,000 miles. I changed all fluids (engine oil, tranny, rear end coolant) soon after I bought it.
On a recent 500 mile trip I noticed the tranny would briefly ( a second or so) seem to shift into nuetral and immediately shift back into gear. This happened with and without O/D switched on. It happened maybe 6-7 times over the 500 mile trip.
No tach on this vehicle.
Any guesses on what's happening?

Reason: mis spell
My educated guess is that the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) is failing. When it acts up it will send data to the PCM that you've moved the shifter from D to N. That causes the trans to shift to neutral. This is very, very hard to catch it in the act. I recommend replacing the TRS.
Change the speedometer sensor on the top of the rearend and see if that cures it. Buy a new Ford sensor. The aftermarket units are junk. If you don't want to spring for a new one, get one out of a junkyard and try it.
