I know this has been discussed, but I can't find anything on my specific problem:
I've got an '89 F250 HD with a 351, C6 transmission, and tilt steering. The pot-metal actuator broke, and I've got the column disassembled, including the tilt pivot pins removed, but the straight rod section will not come out. There's plenty of clearance in the front, but the groove seems to be hitting something inside the colimn. On the manuals, I've seen a key release button on the bottom of the column that releases the broken section, but I don't have that on my auto. Any ideas?
