I had a small problem that has become a MAJOR problem.
My ignition (key) stopped working forcing me to start the truck at the solenoid. This happened about 3 weeks ago. That is minor problem to me.
Today the problem has gotten worse. ALOT worse.
Now I can not shift gears at all. The tranny shifts fine under the truck. It appears that it is bound up in the column. I could find no reference to the workings of the column in my Hayes manual. So I ask........ is the column a hard thing to work on? Or should I send to a pro?
Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be? Or how I should resolve it.
Ever been to Full Sized Bronco dot com?
The biggest problem I have seen is right at the top
from the tilt pivot up. It sounds one of the rod coming off the
lock cylinder came off or there is a dog leg that moves up
and down as you turn the key.
Glad it worked out. I have not enjoyed that experience YET but had saved it as a favorite back when an intermitted dying issue was tearing me up. Always happy to share what I don't know when I can find it somewhere if that makes sense.
Now you don't have to worry about that issue again.
