The F4TE cam though is a really good cam, despite what you've been told. Specs with 1.7's are .445/.473 lift, 256/266* advertised duration, 116* LSA Really comparable to an "RV" style cam. Works great with a carb too. generates a lot of vacuum that lets the circuits respond faster. That motor I built would fire up in 25* temps with no choke and no pump shot with the gas pedal. All you had to do was crank it a few seconds and it would fire off and idle just like it had EFI
Well then I wonder if I really need to do any head work then. Wonder if I could just throw some 1.7 rockers on and let it ride. I did think about maybe later on saving up and swapping the heads out for some GT40 heads. Should be a straight swap over with nothing to change exhaust or intake wise.

But I did figure on widening and blending the intake and exhaust to match the gaskets as well as doing the intake the same way. Headers I cant do it to too much since they are steel. Plus I think headman headers come with a life time warranty which would be voided if I go grinding on them.
