I am following along here and am curious if the all have a high pressure pump as well as in tank pumps. I am trying to sort out a 1995 with dual tanks and 351.
No updates right now... had 15 hour workday yesterday.
Now that my air compressor is working again I'm going to air up the tires on the F350 and get some help moving the truck onto my concrete driveway... jacking this thing up on soft ground just isn't smart. Going to take my other pickup and some muscle to push this thing into position....
Well I aired up the four flat tires on the dually and got the others up to 55 psi. Hooked up the tow strap... now I'm waiting for my crew to show so I can tow and push it into my driveway so I can get the truck on solid footing.
In the driveway... After sundown I'll get it jacked up and on some stands. Darn warm here at 95F and tons of humidity. The lift in the air conditioned shop is holding up the wife's 99 Jeep so I'll be working on my back...
With the test connector jumped beteen #2 and #6 the yellow jumper wire I installed from the FP relay (pink wire) to the HP pump connector (pink wire) has power ... no response from the HP pump but I can hear the in-tank pump (s?) running. Still no power to the pink wire at the pump without the yellow jumper.
My Horrible Freight multi-testor powers up but does not work so I don't have a voltage reading at the pump but my test light is nice and bright.
I have not jumped the fuel pump case to ground but I will.
BTW... how does the high pressure pump mount to the frame rail? I haven't really looked real closely at it but I can see more since I put it up on jack stands.

Well, you will never have power to the pink wire until you find the break, somewhere between the Inertia Switch and the pump.
Have you checked the firewall connection ?? maybe your issues are in that connector. Probe each side of the firewall connector, the pink and the black wires.
So with the yellow jumper attached to the pump pink wire as close to the pump as possible, either the pump is shot, or the ground wire is broken as well.
Probe the yellow wire with your test light tip, and ground the other test light wire to the frame. if your test light does not light, then you have a bad ground.
You need to have a working multimeter to perform electrical troubleshooting.

With the test plug jumped my yellow jumper has power at the HP pump connector.
I want to remove that HP pump and wire it to my battery to see if it works. How does that HP pump mount to the frame? I have the truck raised up pretty high now... guess I'll go out now before those 95F temps come back this afternoon.
unhooked my yellow jumper wire. Started at the battery... yellow power wire from the starter relay on the pass. fender to the FP relay is good but zero power out of that relay to the brown wire that goes up to the inertia switch. So I jumped the yellow wire at the relay (relay unplugged) to the brown wire... still no power to the inertia switch but I do have power at the plug I jumped.
Next I'll unplug the round bulkhead connector and see if I have continuity from the FP connector brown wire to the bulkhead connector.
