Inertia switch does not have power. Red wire at fuel pump relay is live. No clicks when I jumped the test connector. I get one click when I turn on the ignition switch. Not sure about the yellow wire... don't remember getting power anywhere except the red wire.

The Inertia switch gets its power from the FP-Relay when the Relay is entergized.

If the red wire has batt voltage, thats good, so, connecting pins 6 & 2 on the test connector will ground the relay.
Then you should have batt voltage on the Brown wire at the relay socket if you have power to the yellow wire.
This brown wire goes to the Inirtia switch, then on to the fuel pumps, which are currently grounded.

Had a few minutes to mess with this... I pulled the inertia switch. With it plugged in and the test plug jumped between 2 and 6 I have power to the inertia switch (brown wire) and power out... no start no fuel pump noise.

so, from the Inertia Switch the wire may go pink....
That pink wire powers the HP-Pump, check the power at the Pump...

If you have power at the pump, then check the grounds to the pump.

your in-tank pumps should be making a racket as well with 6 & 2 jumped.

There may be a R/W wire coming off the Inertia Switch as well.
This wire goes to the Selector Switch in your dash to power your in-tank pumps.

Speaking of grounds..... I don't know the F350, but, looking at an 88EVTM, that ground may hav a couple of splices in it, a connector, and a ground lug up by the head-lamp on the fender.
Connector may be in the harness under the hood heading to the front of your truck.

The ground connects to the in-tank pumps & is the ground for the Fuel Gauge Senders as well.
So. if your Gauges & in-tank pumps are working, then a ground issue may be localized to the HP-Pump.

I see from another thread, that you are trying to get a new HP-Pump?

No power to the HP pump...no noise from any pump.

With the inertia switch connected and the test connector jumped there is power in and out of the inertia switch but no power to the HP pump.

Might be home before dark tonight to mess with it a little.

Right now I'm getting a load of Miller beer unloaded...and I'm thirsty.

lol, i'm going to drink a few over the summer....
So, if no power at the fuel pump connector/Pk wire, the you must have a break in-between.....

So, looks like there is another connector and a splce between the Inirtia Switch and the motor.
That C100, i believe is the Firewall connector.

you could check for power at the Red/white wire at the Fuel Tank Selector Switch. that could help narrow down the location of the break in power.
Splices in these old trucks are always suspect as well.

The frame mounted pump is always powered by the output of the inertia switch and yes, that does pass through the firewall connector. The in tank pumps are selected by the fuel tank selector switch which again is powered by the output of the inertia switch and the individual power lines to the tanks pass through the firewall connector.

There are a couple circular connectors under the hood and down by the bottom edge of the cab on the drivers side that connect to all the rear wiring. The fuel pump + circuits run through one of these connectors, but the ground returns through one as well. This one I know to be the three pin connector and I believe it is a black/white stripe wire. This ground also serves the taillights, so if you have unusually dim taillights, there may be a clue there.

Didn't get a chance to look at this yesterday...cold, rainy and a long work day.

I really appreciate the help with this... I sold a lot more of these trucks than I've owned.

Ok....so tonight I ran a jumper wire from the hot brown wire on the inertia switch to the power supply wire on the HP pump....I left it plugged into the loom.

Now I have noise from the rear fuel pump (not sure about front) and have gas dribbling out if the Schrader valve on the fuel rail...just a dribble. Nothing from the HP pump...
