Just pulled it off and there is NO damage, looks fine. It just sounded like the last one I tried to put in. any clues? I dont think its the alt but I didnt leave it running long enough to even think about that.

As far as I am concerned this thred can be deleted. Put it back on, it squealed for 5 seconds and quieted down. never had one do that on me. Let it get up to temp and all seems good.
Easy test is to pull all the belts off the motor and start it and see if the noise is there. And yes you can run the motor for a few min. with no issues.
Now if you have no noise with the belts off put 1 belt on and run the motor again to see if it makes the noise.
Now you can either pull that belt off and put the next belt on or just put the next one on. If you add a 2nd belt and it makes noise what ever that belt turns has a issue.
If still no noise add the 3rd belt and do the same run test.
Now also don't over look belt pulleys not lined up. Off a 1/8" can cause noise so check them.
Also check the pulley grooves for not being smooth, having a groove warn in them as that will make noise.
