Hello everyone, this is my '73 F350 Chassis cab with 39,000 original miles I aquired her last year from a one owner Georgia farmer. Its a true 10,000 gvw dually chassis cab, Custom trim, built in Ford of Canada. Its stunningly original from the rubber floor mat to the paint still shines nicely with no rust or touch ups. It starts on the first crank and is remarkably easy to drive, power disc brakes, manual steering is tight and very easy to steer. Appears to be a radio delete also, a true mans truck. I just wanted to share her with the forum.
Very nice truck, thank you for sharing that with us. What are you plans for it? Careful if you bring it back into DD service.
Yes they only have 39,000 miles, but the seals are old and brittle and can start to leak. Some are easy to change like the valve cover....oil pan and rear main, not so much.
To bad the guy was a smoker, it might come off (above the ash tray).
Thanks for the compliment, I have put a little over 600 miles on her so far and get a quarter size drop oil spot on the garage floor after she sits for a few weeks, but nothing at all while running, so possibly the lower end seals and gaskets have been changed no record of it though. For now I just plan to redo the wood sides on the bed.
I dig 'survivors'. My 70 and 71 were tired but pretty much unmolested - factory stamps and markings, OEM paper tags on wiring looms, hardware that apparently never been uncracked, and beautiful un-hacked wiring. On the other hand, my 73 is a composite.
Welcome to the forum, and thank you so much for sharing photos and details of your amazing truck. Beautiful setting.
I love everything about your F350, even the fact that it's ash tray got used.
I can't tell if the mirrors are painted or stainless, I think painted. They look so good.
Manual steering! That truck was built for hard work, and that meant driving it too! And no listening to tunes while you work either! Nose to the grindstone!
Wasn't a total slave driver...it has color-keyed seatbelts. I think it has the Custom Décor package. Work hard, but keep it pretty.
Your truck will probably still have it's build sheet with it, if Canadian-built put it in the usual place, under the seat in the springs. If so, be very careful in extracting it, it will be brittle.
Post up more pictures of your truck. It's wonderful.
Sorry for the quadruple posts...each time I try to edit my post, it posts it twice. I've gone back and deleted them using my phone. Not sure what has changed in my laptop settings.
Post up more pictures of your truck. It's wonderful.

Here are a few more, I will have to get some new ones these where from last year, she was very dusty inside then. Yes door tag says made in Canada. The mirrors are white and showing signs of discoloration on the arms.
Op is that the original bed? If so can you supply me with some pics? I'm gonna make a bed for my crew and think it would be really cool to recreate the original. Waiting on confirmation before I ask for specific pictures.
