What would you all recommend on valve springs compressors I was going to get the "universal one " at O'Reillys but I wasn' too sure... I want the best tool so I can do my valve seals the easiest way ...so can all yall give me some guidance and what tools will help me. ....since this is my first time under the valve covers on this truck... sorry for making a thread bout this... I couldn' find any information about it thanks again..
I bought the one harbor freight sells. Havent tore down my heads yet, but i did stick it on a valve to make sure it would and seems like it will work well. Was a little less than $20 and its the screw type.

I got that one as well. Haven't used it on an IDI, but I changed the valve seals on my 390 and it worked fine. Have to find a sweet spot for the hooks to grab the bottom of the springs without popping off, but got the hang of it after the first two or three.
