I have a Jan 4 PCO also. Dealer said Ford has tightened up the PCO program. They added the 2021 Superduty because you won't be able to use it anyway because of potential delivery window. My dealer cannot apply a PCO to an order. They are a major dealer and work hard to find discounts that can be applied so I'm inclined to believe them.

For me, buy now from the awful level inventory units with the PCO, or wait and order a 2021 which will be without PCO. But if I order, I save about $3k compared to what is on lots because of my configuration. So maybe I can convince myself that I did use the PCO on a 2021.

YOUR DEALER ABSOLUTELY CAN apply a PCO to an order. No question, I’ve had it done MANY times. It really makes me wonder if they actually still don’t know how to do it, or if they are being shady and/or just trying to sell inventory on their lot.

They have no inventory on the lot for Superduty's. Sales rep checked with sales manager whom he claimed was very experienced with ordering, PCO's etc. They said no. Hard to imagine a dealership this large doesn't know how to do it if it's possible. Wasn't a sales tactic as we never got to the discussion of what I wanted. Where is you dealer lol. Maybe I should drive someplace.

Just ordered a F450 with a sept 30 PCO exp date. the dealer saw the date said it could not be done. Pushed him and informed him of incentive protection program, they said can’t be done. Have them call the Ford Zone Rep... guess what they learned something new and got it applied. Dealers just do the little they have to. Was shocked I knew more about their own program, but does not surprise me these day they are just order takers.

Thanks @1970 Boss. They do have an impressive number of F250's, unfortunately I'm looking for an F-350. I've got a backup dealer who gave me a decent price a few months ago. They were about $1000 higher than the one I'm currently fighting, but in my opinion, the $1000 savings has not been worth it. If they offer me a similar deal I'll jump on it and tell my current dealer to take a hike.

Print out the info from this post and take it to your dealer. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post19255480

Maybe he missed the memo from 2012. Otherwise I'd be finding another dealer because they are either scamming you or are clueless.

I’d have them check again. I placed an order on 9/18 for a 2021 and mentioned to the GM that I had a PCO. He said he’ll do his best, but sometimes they may not take them. Long story short, he just let me know this morning that his Ford rep confirmed the PCO was guaranteed to be included (as part of the incentive protection program).

Anyone know if the Ford Incentive Protection Program still exists? This one here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post19255480

My dealer swears they've never heard of this. And there's not a lot of confidence in showing them something from 8 years ago lol.

Considering people are routinely posting locking in their PCO and incentives like that link shows I'd say it still exists.

I agree that logically it makes sense, but I'm also being told by my dealer and Ford marketing (800-334-4375) that they've never heard of it. To be honest, the disconnect between Ford marketing and my dealer in regard to how incentives work has been staggering.
