The JL XD1000/5V2 - 75 watts to each of the ESK165L.5 components up front and the ECX165.5's in the rear doors, and 500 into the sub at 2 ohms. I'll post my impressions once it's in and I listen to it tmrw afternoon on the drive back.
I was on the JL website a few days ago and I sent them a message asking about an enclosure specifically for the 2015 and newer F150 and SD SuperCrew Cabs and I received a reply
The person that replied back to me via email said that many dealers have been asking them the same question since 2015 and they have taken notice.
He said that a new Stealthbox containing (2) two 12TW3`s will be available for these trucks. He also said that they have concluded R&D and that this model of Stealthbox should be set for production soon and should start shipping by the beginning of Summer.

Did they mention a location with this stealth box? If behind the seat, I’m very curious.
Haha...man I haven't seen one of those in a log time!!! Bust out the MC Hammer cassette tapes too!
Thankfully we moved from cassette to CD's around '83 I think. The Sony CDXR-77 was one of the first CD players out but when you hit a bump in the road it would skip. Hah.
The 80's had some killer stereo builds.
I'll date myself here: this was my Ford Courier featured in a major truck magazine back in the 80's.. My stereo was two Rockford Fosgate Punch 150's when they were made in Arizona. Two 10's and two 8's (Cerwin Vegas) and component 6.5's. I think I was running a Phillips head unit/CD player. This system was about $3k back in the day. We paid dearly for high end American made amps - Zapco, Fosgate, PPI......good times. Truck shows all over the west coast.....beach, girls, beer, high SPL's......we could take a Punch 45 back then and run it at about a 1 OHM load and blow our ears off.
I've always wanted to do another stereo in a new truck. Now I would like to have a balanced system that is super accurate, although I secretly still like SPL's that move windshields. Keep up the mods and I might have to go big again. Sorry for the hijack but I'm in that kind of mood.

Reason: New pic

You're definitely dating yourself! I'm not that old, but back in the high school days I ran SPL comps, all JL equipment. 142.8 dB from two 12W3s. Still got my trophy in storage at the parents house somewhere.... ironically I'm still running the same JL 500/1 slash amp today, 15 years later. Would love to find one of the old MMATS amps some day.

Hell, I still race MX. I refuse to acknowledge that I'm 50. Still love custom rides and great stereos. JL has some great stuff. So many great companies back in the day made amps that were 10 pounds of American steel with huge heat sinks. Sadly, so many moved overseas and now you can buy 1000 watt amps for $139. My original Fosgate Punch 150's in 1984 were about $500. The Power 1000's were about $2k. I had a friend who had four 18's in his old school Lincoln Continental and it nearly pushed the windshield out of the rubber seal when he played Michael Jackson's Thriller. Hah.

I think i`m going to wait as well before having one custom made.
Well, I would think that maybe they`ve already started making them since he said they should be available by early Summer. If they have started to make them already, perhaps they`re fine tuning the the overall external an internal design before announcing it.

No, he didn`t mention the location of the Stealthbox.
In my original email to JL, I did mention an under seat enclosure so more than likely the new will be the same because there`s not enough room behind the rear seat for two 12" TW3`s unless the air space is seriously compromised and I don`t see JL doing that just to make such an enclosure fit.
