Post Up Pipe Fix Question

Hi all, I just finished my up pipes, bought them off amazon for 120$, quality wasn’t bad, wasn’t great but definitely better than what I had. So before I did my up pipes I’d have a EBV:Boost ratio of 2:1 at low boost and then 1.2-1.5:1 at 15+ boost. Well now my EBP pressure is up substantially post new up pipes. I know the new pipes will get more exhaust gas to the turbo but I didn’t think the back pressure would go up. What could be wrong? Thanks!

Well I am no expert but wouldn't sealing up exhaust leaks increase back pressure and in turn provide more pressure to spin the turbo faster? With leaking up pipes EBP couldn't build as high could it? I could be wrong but that's the way I see it.
