Shock rubber mounts

Hi....Just picked up my new F350..... I see that the rubber mount on both of my front shocks are cracking and some rust already. I'm more concerned with the rubber though...kind of looks like they are 10 years old...thoughts? anyone else has the same? maybe its normal.

Its normal. They are crap shocks anyways, most replace from the get go.

Maybe I will paint them, so It don't look so bad, and will replace later on.
