If I'm not mistaken, the 2019 Super Duty will have all of these features built in to the truck. I'm wondering if the dealers will want to support this product if their newer trucks have these features built in. I think it's great to see these on the aftermarket though!

The Perimeter Plus/Remote Access is officially said to not work in 18s. (Though I have one of each in the box...) Conversley, one of the (nameless) elders on this forum says it will...
Id gladly pay the $20/Mo for smart link to report alarms to my phone... and not possibly void a warranty by using unapproved parts when Big Blue says they are not designed for 18.

Yes that was me. It's ok to name me. lol

Ford won't void any warranty, they just won't warranty the specific parts in question related to Vehicle Security and Remote Access. The remaining warranty on the rest of the truck will be intact.

10/4 on the warranty, I meant what you said.
I have a new Remote Access and PP I’ll likely use in the 18 when it shows.
Or should I wait??

Yep it's the same install as all the other compatible Ford's.

several dealerships have it and Ive seen on other forums that people have installed them. Has anyone successfully had one installed on a 2018. All documentation says it only works on 2010 - 2017. I have a 2018 f250 lariat. I want this to monitor my alarm. My'06 king ranch was stolen 3 weeks ago and there have been 3 other trucks stolen in my area

As of right now, it`s not available for 2018 Ford vehicles.

Just ordered the module PN HC3Z-14F642-A for my 2017 F-250 from TASCA parts. Called and verified the fit. $35.02 shipped. My local dealer wanted over 45 for it.

I’m not sure. I have been searching the Internet about activation. The smart link portion of the app asks for a login. I think that may have to be provided at the dealer. But I will call the smart link help line when the unit gets here. I have a few dealers in the area. I’m hoping that if they need to activate it, they will do it at no cost. The dealer I purchased my truck from is 45 miles away. I’ll go to them as a last resort for activation.

if anyone has any info on this, please post it up. I will update when I have more info.

I emailed Fairway Ford yesterday about the SmartLink and I also asked them if it has to be programmed by the dealer that your car was purchased from. I received a reply this morning and they said that they will have to do the account setup before sending it out to me and when I receive it, I can take it to any dealer to have it programmed.

Fairway Ford on their eBay website have 3 options to pay for the SmartLink with the cheapest one being $345.00 total.

I hope this info helps someone who`s interested.

You are aware that what you ordered for $35.02 is not the actual SmartLink module.

Thanks. That’s what I found out this morning. I put a description of what I was looking for on the order. I got a call from TASCA about it. They cancelled my order since it was the wrong part. Great place to deal with.

Im going to do some more research since I now have the correct part number.
