Imagine how many more of these they would sell if the purchase and installation were plug and play simple and not shrouded in such mystery. The Ford website should be straight and to the point as the cost and the procedure, not "see dealer for details", then as many are reporting, the dealer knows nothing. It would be great to able to buy it online, and activate it online yourself, the plug it in to the OBDII and go.

They will give you all of the info you need regarding SmartLink plus the monthly data cost.

As posted above it does have notifications for movement. I haven't had my alarm go off to see if it does. It does not appear to, but it could.

Noe of the damn dealers I have checked within Houston are awrae of this being available. Frustrating.

Also - you need the factory remote start for this. I didn't have that either, but ordered both from fairway and it was a 10 minute install including the time to enable it via forscan.
