Rims peeling
The service advisor called me this morning to say that they received all of my new parts, but had to return one of the wheels due to it being blemished when they unpacked it.
As a side note, prior to ordering the replacement driver side running board I was experiencing an intermittent rattle problem that I attributed to the door. I tried moving the latch striker, taping the striker, opened up the doors to see if I could find something loose inside them...all with zero success. Of course the dealership couldn't replicate the rattle. Sometime after they replaced the running board it dawned on me that my rattle was gone. Then I remembered reading here somewhere that another owner had experienced the same thing.
I couldnt help myself i had to comment regarding your post, and protecting ford for there fault! When you buy a 100k vehicle like my lariat with platinum interior and chrome package...that has to last thats why we get chrome..
im even more bidder about ford is such a greasy company but all of them are also dont get me wrong, but my rims are almost alike to tge ones on the pictures in this post, but they actually a weird way almost capped with a plastic chrome coating, and my rims are really peeling 3-4 nches all around all 4 and below its black primer, and i used to manage a reconditioning shop so i look after everything..but chrome should not peel back or chip, from grime maybe oxidise ,brake dust burn in etc..but even that shoukdnt thats what chrome good for ..
my rims are almost like a really cheap low end cast alloy..
