My wheel are doing the same thing 18" PVD going talk to dealer next time in. 20K on it stock tires and get washed 4 times week in Cleveland Ohio weather.
A lot of wheel manufactures thought that PVD would solve the corrosion problem for chrome wheels, which it does, however the PVD seems to have adhesion issues and they are not holding up well.
Surprised there is not a forged option for SRW. The forged factory wheels on my Silverado HD have been great and have stayed bright for 4+ years. The Welds on my 2000 F350 are nice but require quite a bit of polishing to stay looking nice.
I too have the chrome dandruff you speak of I’m taking my 2017 xlt chrome package in for an oil change and see what the service advisor can do by filing a claim I’ll report back to you guys after. Chip out
Yeah, when my 2017 hooks were rusting at the mounting plate, they said one guy had perfect hooks without rust. You are that guy. In 15+ Super Duties, I've never received one without them either being rusty or rusting soon. You, sir, are lucky.
I noticed this on the edge one of my wheels a couple weeks ago. Has anyone taken theirs in and made a warranty claim on it? Mine is a 2017 that I purchased in November of 2016.
