Hey everyone I just joined and thanks for having me. I have a 2003 6.0 that cranks but won’t start. Truck has had new injectors new fuel pump egr delete and turbo cleaned new ficm and batteries within last 5 yrs. truck has 178k miles on it and sits for weeks at a time. Truck ran fine and I shut it off, went to start it a few days later and now she just cranks. I have the live wire tuner and it shows on crank only 9 volts from battery and injector pressure at 9 as well. The ficm is only at 11. I know these numbers are way off and was wondering what you all think could be causing it. At first I assumed bad icp and or IPR but now I’m thinking maybe batteries as well. Don’t want to change out good parts so any help will be greatly appreciated
Need to start with good batteries. All the downstream electrical stuff relies on them. Put a charger on and after charging, take them to a parts store and have them load tested.
Brand new batteries. It stays above 10 but below 12v when cranking. I was told I needed 12v to fire the ficm? Not sure what is going on with this thing.
The FICM will do fine with the 10.5 (even close to 10) when cranking .... if it is healthy, and not for a long time. Since you had very low voltage before, the FICM is likely to be damaged, IMO anyway.
